Application
Obtaining financial support for forest owners is often a bureaucratic and complex process. Our aim is to make this process as straightforward as possible to help them. Before applying, we therefore ask forest owners to prepare the following information. This is necessary so that the independent commission of experts can evaluate your project and ensure that the resulting forest stand is climate-stable.
The basis of every application is a coherent silvicultural concept that is tailored to the respective location.
Step 1
Please describe the initial situation of your site, including any calamities such as storms or bark beetle infestation, as well as its special features, e.g. slope, sandy soil or drought areas, etc. A minimum of 0.5 hectares and a maximum of 3 hectares per forest owner and calendar year will be considered. For larger areas, only applications with a partial area of up to 3 hectares can be considered in the selection process.
Step 2
As you know your area best, please explain your silvicultural concept and why you have chosen the selected mix of tree species (at least three species, none of them over 50%). There are no restrictions on tree species as long as they suit the local conditions.
Step 3
Give us details of the planned planting and how the plants will be protected from browsing by game.
Step 4
Please provide a cost calculation that includes the following points: Site preparation costs, number of plants, type of plants, planting methods and protection measures.
